This is the book you can't do without. Frankly, there is very little excitement, and what there is seems mostly cobbled together from timeworn Resistance themes. Excellent blending of practical information and how that applies and works within the 7 main aspects of our being.. It was funny, sweet, emotional and so very HOT. Frank Worsley was Ernest Shackleton's captain, so he is a name that is not commonly known. Filled with dangerous levels of snark and smartassery, I laughed, snorted (yes, I admit it) and awwww-ed my way through Hard Edit, and I have to tell you-I’ve already re-read it (I’ve only had it about a month).Both Larson and Troy are just as alpha, cocky and funny as they were in Black Balled…actually even more so with a bit of hot-headedness thrown in for good measure. It allows the reader to get a better idea of what it felt like to be in occupied France in the early months of the war, as people were making their decisions of how to deal with the new reality, what their consciences would let them do.I recommend this novel, certainly for Alan Furst fans, but also for others who would enjoy a slightly different angle on World War II espionage.. Abaddon has escaped whatever black dimension he'd been trapped in and brought a fleet of death merchants so massive that nothing could survive their path. Moses took these deaths very much to heart, but he pressed on.
