Graphic and sometimes violent in nature,the erotica is crucial to the story and often reveals more about the characters than the exposition does.The author also artfully juxtaposes past and present throughout the book creating an effective framework in which to tell his story.Even with its shortcomings, the book succeeds in spite of itself due to Chumbley's ability to make his readersalmost forgive its somewhat treacly narrative. Hopefully nobody is fooled into thinking this is authentic.. So who am I to make any negative comment?Anyway, the first review on this book n this site is by Douglas B.
