It may be because both are already acknowledged gays, but it would have given more depth to the story if more is revealed about both men's background. They do not form a straight line. This is a difficult book for me to review because I adored Ashley's first book Love Script and have looked forward to reading more from her. We've checked it out from our library so often that I felt guilty and bought our own copy.
